America loves Twitter. For those unfamiliar with Twitter, it is a microblogging platform that allows user to post status updates of upto 140 characters. According to a report out last week from Pew, 11 percent of Americans “use Twitter or update their status online,” which is honestly greater than I expected. However, Twitter has been growing exponentially over the past few month (Google Trends: Twitter). Here are the main takeaways from the Pew report:

And it was especially difficult for this woman at the Hong Kong International Airport when she missed her flight. I completely empathize with her – as I too has a particular disdain for the unnecessary hurdles of flying … especially in the regional jaunts between Milwaukee and Des Moines on Midwest Airlines my way back home from New York, a flight in which I’ve become all too familiar.
Can anyone with knowledge of Cantonese/Mandarin let me know what she’s saying?
